KNU's cafeteria, I approved!
Assalamualaikum and heyyyy (waalaikumussalam)
So someone said the purpose I came to Korea is to travel instead of study (im not denying it though) because all my blog posts are about trips hahaha so yeah this post is not about trip as you can see from the title and this is for you! (you know who you are ;))
I've enjoyed watching this korean variety show called High School Lunch Cook-off starring Baek Jongwon, the celebrity chef. Its about high school students had a cooking battle with each other to cook the best lunch for the school. And if I'm not wrong, they will battle at different schools every week(?) I'm really impressed with the amount of thought they put to choose the menus; it must be healthy and you cannot put any MSGs in it because it is not good for students and at the same time, it must be delicious and appetizing (...because normally "healthy food" is not that delicious (for me)).
...okay now I don't know how to get into my main points.
Nevertheless! I just want to say that KNU also serves good food in their cafeterias and at a cheap price (compared to food outside). One dish only cost you below 4,000KRW (which...if convert to RM is like RM14...and its not cheap but nvm dont convert! hahaha)
So before entering the cafeteria, they will display what menus they are serving for that day for you to make choices (or we can check the menus on their website too!). Then, if you have credit card, you can buy food coupon using machines provided or if you don't (like me) you can pay cash at the counter. For the menu, its different every day of the week so its fun to anticipate what kind of menu each cafeteria will serve you! (One of the cafeteria also serves kimchi fried rice ala Kang's Kitchen!(another variety show that I enjoyed))
